Free phone line Bad & NO technical Support

When you have a problem this is their response after 5 days!!!!

Thanks for your email. We're so sorry, but we are unable to provide troubleshooting for third party ATA devices used with the VoIP unlock Key/SIP Configuration file purchased from Freephoneline.

Ya I find it often has issues for days at a time sometimes but really who are you going to complain to when you pay nothing. They usually figure it out. We went one time for 2 or 3 days where our phone wouldn't ring but we could call out. Recently it's been our call id .... shows our own number as the caller. But when you're paying $0 a month these are things I can manage to deal with.

go to their forums and read how to set it up, no provider supports third party devices, true they dont provide their own, but they are not going to spend hours on tech support for newbs on configuring ata devices, its free for a reason minus the VoIP unlock Key/SIP Configuration file

I've been with them for many years with several SIP lines and I've found their forum support people very helpful.

I guess the real issue here is that you're using an unsupported ATA and that's your problem. You can't expect them to support every ATA, do you? Personally, I've used Linksys ATA and never had issues.

Free service has terrible tech support! What an unexpected twist!

If you want real support, get a real VoIP provider.

they are a "real" voip provider, but maybe not a voip provider for everyone
