Well, I was bored.

The picture is 900 x 600 pix according to photoshop.

I counted a couple of 100 x 100 areas and came up with between 17 to 20 snow geese in each 100 x 100 pix area. The picture is 54 times the size that i counted. So I recon at 17 x 54 there are 918 and at 20 per 100 x 54 there are 1080 snow geese.

I have just had 2 glasses of Scotch so if someone questions my math, good luck to them, they are probably more correct than me.

Also, a great picture, but I thought it was a bit confusing to the eye.

Too many snow geese.!!!!

Good Night.

Sue S. Don't tell me that I am wrong because you counted every one!!!! If you did, get a life. (Just kidding)

I don't need Scotch or a calculator to tell at a glance that there are 8594 geese in this picture.

And one very scared seagull!!

Is there a prize for the person who's guess is closest to the actual number?

That looks more like broken glass Pretty cool pic. No idea how many geese and I don't have the patience to even try to figure it out.

Today I saw something that reminded me of you. But don’t worry, I flushed and everything went back to normal.

1, it's a combination of the clone tool and copy/paste of the single goose

No prizes, was posted just for fun. Here are a couple more. I have one where the geese are so close together you can not see any background. When this many geese get up together it takes a while, so I was able to take a few shots. This looks really cool on my 24 inch monitor, but downsizing for the forum kind of ruins it. I have no reason to print it, but I would like to see it printed in a 30x40 inch format. No cropping done on any of these photos.

Their is the occasional sea gull mixed in.

About all I can say is holy smokes! You really had some luck in being able to see that many all in one place, but the area around them had to have been buried in doo doo. They must have been one, noisy lot!

Lucky you for not getting "bombed", if you get my meaning. Could've been a bit of a mess.

I didn't think about it, they were a little over a football field away from me, and is why their are so many in the photo.
