| S.H.I.E.L.D. Pilot Finishes Production [ABC] Network president Paul Lee remains publicly hopeful about S.H.I.E.L.D. going to series, but a final decision has yet to be made. In the meantime, though, we can confirm that production has indeed wrapped on the pilot episode, some 3-4 weeks after principal photography began (and the show’s social media campaign was launched).

And there lies in the problem. No matter how good Joss Whedon is with his series, the network(s) manages to frack it up (e.g. Firefly, Dollhouse).

| Don't get me wrong... I never said I wouldn't enjoy it. I've watched Firefly/Serenity at least once a year ever since I got the DVDs. I'm just bitter about all these execs making dumb decisions and cancelling everything that's not reality tv. |

It's not the anticipation of if it's going to cancelled, but when. As ekster  pointed out, it's cheaper and to fill time slots with reality BS (as it seems many people must not have a life), then to provide quality programming that may time to develop (ratings).

I see a problem already, the fact it's on network TV.
Add to that, it's on the mouse station.
I don't give it much hope. I'd wish he'd just forget about anything else and focus on another Serenity movie. That Avengers movie stunk worse then the 2 Hulk movies combined. The only thing Whedon knows is Serenity, DollHouse and Buffy
*Hint hint. Though I doubt Whedon even knows dslreports exist, let alone this forum.

Huh?
The Avengers was one of the best Marvel films ever. I was surprised how good it was since Whedon usually creates his characters from scratch and with The Avengers he had to work with the pre-established Marvel characters. And Whedon's characters are usually pretty good.
S.H.I.E.L.D. being on network TV might be problematic though.
