One afternoon, he discovered Mom's iron worked great to grill a ham 'n cheese. Had a piece of foil and the extension cord not left in the driveway, we'd have been none the wiser. To this day, I'm not sure which pissed off his Mom more; his using the iron as an inverted griddle or my uncontrolled laughter when he fessed up.
