[iPhone] Wifi test

I am currently on Uverse with a 3801 HGV (18mbps down). To that I have a Airport extreme hooked up to do my wireless. It seems when I do a wireless down load it takes forever.

I just downloaded an album from the icloud and on wifi I am maybe getting 1 song in the time it took me to download and entire album over LTE. I know I am dealing with 2 different technologies, but 18mbps down should be plenty fast.

Could I of missed something in the setup of the extreme? Is there a test I can run on my iphone to show what speed I am transferring data from the router. I know my wired connection are getting close to advertised speeds.

Any help would be great!

Try Speedtest.net on your iPhone.

This is what I have been using. I know I am getting a good signal from at&t because I have hard wired computers getting a good download. I just think I am not getting that 18mb down to my phone.

Is there a setting that can take that 18mb signal and turn it into mush?

Make sure that the Airport is set up in "Access Point" mode, otherwise you will get extraordinarily slow speeds. Why don't you use the wireless features of the 3801 HGV?
