Is the EL standard internet plan the same as TWC standard?

moving into a new house where TWC serves the cable
EL is offering standard cable internet (7mbps/1mbps) for 29.99
Is that the same plan as TWC standard 44.99 15mbps/1mbps plan? or is that more equivalent to the basic TWC plan (3mbps/1)? Thanks.

Depends on the market. Usually, EL mirrors TWC standard tier.

Here in NYC, basic TWC is 15/1 and EL is 20/2, so it's definitely worth going with EL for the same price.

EL also offers free usenet via Supernews/Giganews, but it's only 100-day retention, and they block all popular TV releases.

I am getting 15/1 on EL in Flushing (not far from Forest Hills) on the $40'ish plan
