Re: No excuse not to have a warrant - ever

Too damn bad. The solution to inconvenience should never be the excuse to suspend liberty.

What I mean is it's not a problem of 'inconvenience', it's a problem of use. They want to use the system for blanket monitoring of ALL Internet traffic in Canada (like the US does). They can't possibly get warrants for each & every email, IRC, Skype, AIM, blog post, & dslreports.com post that Canadians make every day.

Personal liberty left the building a long time ago. Are the telecom/ISPs in Canada public companies? Simply offer the shareholders a tax break in exchange for the bill's passage and they will throw liberty away like a dirty diaper.
