just something that pings every -insert time- minutes. you would need to ping from a couple points on the web, if all or most failed you would know something was up.
BTW Justin your site still rocks, I was away for a while, I am glad i came back, all the good parts of the way it was in 2000 are still here, plus all kinds of new additions.

kudos:7 | well ping isnt enough.
Ping wouldnt pickup this problem.
You'd need to do a bunch of things.. starting with ping and working up the complexity ladder. Ending with end-to-end instant messages, email messages and so on.. |
