Well I tried to pm you about the issues, and recieved a message that new members could not PM. Not sure if the pm was sent or not. Today the service is back up and working. The problems yesterday started at 4pm central time.. And It was not fixed until 6:30am. I even had channels on my cable service that were simply black during this time.

I did not receive a message. I am happy to hear the services are back up. There was an outage in some of our KY regions yesterday that may have been causing the issue. I show that your profile says Nortonville. If that is correct then I would say the outage was causing your issue.

Here we go again.. Internet will sometimes connect to sites and then sometimes it won't. Checked the mediacom support page, and there are no reported service happening in my area. But when trying to just browse to a page, it may take ten attempts before the page actually comes up. Mediacom internet is like gambling... Sometimes you win, sometimes you loose. Why is this so comon of a problem?

I would definitely have the people behind chad check it out.

On top of that, I would try (if you're comfortable doing it) changing your DNS to something besides mediacoms. (make sure to write them down before hand) like google DNS, (8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4) or opendns, etc..

Phill, I am still picking up an issue with the upstream signal in the area and this is being checked further into. In the meantime, have you noticed any problems with your connection since Sunday?
