Hoyt Lakes, MN | [MN] Extremely High Latency in Hoyt Lakes area Youtube is very slow at loading videos even at 240p, games, VoIP products (Teamspeak, etc) and streaming services are suffering as well.
PingPlotter shows me that a couple of the jumps to any given area are occasionally dropping packets entirely with quite a high rate of packet loss over time.
This is the Hoyt Lakes (55750) area. |

Same here.
Tracert I ran shows problem in AT&T backbone, not Mediacom. |

| I have had issues with my usenet in the past, working with their customer support they said several times that the AT&T backbone is completely overloaded and/or just running like crap.
Unfortunately it seems like a lot of mediacom traffic has to traverse AT&Ts crappy lines. |

Yeah, I was going to comment that it looks like the AT&T portion of the line that was fritzy, but I couldn't conclude that this was the issue on my tests.
This is quite unfortunate, hopefully Mediacom can push the issue up since they have more connections with AT&T than we do as consumers. |
