then when is it till then if u look on page 1 its says till march 31 and that whats the roger guy told me its a beta test

you clearly missed the part where my confirmation e-mail shows hi-speed extreme ultimate until april 18th (end of the next billing cycle)... it doesn't say that unlimited stops automagically on march 31st.

where are your facts to back up your words, or those supposedly said by Rogers?

Hi everybody.

I've got great news to share today.
As of Feb. 19, Rogers will be offering an unlimited Internet option to our customers for a limited time, until March 31, 2013.
Here’s how it works:
• Customers who currently subscribe to TV, Internet and home phone can add unlimited Internet usage to their account for an additional $10 a month
• Customers who currently subscribe to only one or two of these services (TV, Internet or home phone) can add unlimited Internet usage to their account for an additional $30 a month

Customers can sign up by visiting their local Rogers store or calling 1-888-Rogers1 to add the unlimited usage option to their plan and it will take effect as of Feb. 19.

Further details will be available on Rogers.com later this afternoon.

really? you don't understand that it's a limited time promotional offer, as in if you don't add it to the account before the offer period ends, you don't get to add it? that's typically how promotional offers work, like any other sales deal.

so when does it run till ? April ? Also I paying $30 Because i'm On The high extreme Plan

if you've added the unlimited add-on, look at your confirmation e-mail. it does not state an end-date for the service. just like if you were to go to your wireless carrier and add an unlimited text add-on for $20/month to go with your existing rate plan, unless it's a 50% off discount on that $20 service, you pay the $20 service until either you cancel, or change up your service. from what i've been able to confirm myself over the phone with Rogers, and from basic understanding, the $30 unlimited add-on promo doesn't have an end date as of yet. there certainly are no terms i have received from rogers that state it ends any time soon. and the moment they bring in a change of terms notice, just call 'em up and demand something better or walk away. simple as that, really.

absolutely it is!

lets just see how long this actually lasts. they've canned unlimited before, nothing saying they won't can it again (at this point in time anyway). one day, Canada won't suck when it comes to service providing in the digital world. one day. I just hope most of us are young enough to enjoy it when that day comes.

heh, I sorta lucked out. I was on ultimate but after I saw my last bill I downgraded to extreme plus, however that doesn't take effect till next month. I also got the unlimited internet and that takes effect right away. So for the next few days I have unlimited internet on ultimate.

(also whats with this forum set-up..seems odd)

I was on 75/10 with the Cisco DPC3825 modem; i called in today and the CSR admitted that the unlimited upgrades were brand new to them; initially she told me that it wasn't available for Ultimate and that i had to downgrade to Extreme+

I told her the rogers.com website said otherwise; we both read the website together and she admitted that the site gave conflicting information; she then talked to her "higher-ups"...

... 45 minutes later she added a brand new package, and it's $152.99 + $8.00 (Hitron)

but i'm now forced to 150/10 with the Hitron modem; i tried asking about getting the Cisco modem instead: she and the Rogers Store folks insisted that Cisco can't handle the 150 speeds; i didn't want to argue... after paying $100 in overage charges since October, it's a welcome change

I signed up for the $30 unlimited on Sunday but still had not received a confirmation and the Rogers webpage was showing that I still had a 250GB cap. I contacted them to see what was going on and they said unlimited could not be applied because I have Ultimate 75/2. A plan that is no longer offered. (I wasn't told that on Sunday.)

That is fine. I had asked them to move me to Extreme Plus on Sunday (to make up the $30 difference in price) but that would not go into effect until the next billing cycle on March 15. I would have to call back then and ask for the unlimited once I had been moved to Extreme Plus.

After 20 minutes she finally gave in and moved me to Extreme Plus right away so that I can get unlimited today.

It looks like those with the old Ultimate 75/2 (and Ultimate 75/10) will have to choose a new plan.

My confirmation came and I now have "Hi-Speed Extreme Plus Unltd 104.99"

yeah i got my call today so i be paying $30 for unlimited for ultra so i be saving $70 a month since i always payed the $100
to get the $10 i had to down grade

Yeah I got the add-on for $10, they made me change the router though to a doc 3.0.

Ultimate Unlimited is only offered for an extra $30/month. Also only the New Ultimate (150/10) tier is offered as Unlimited. So if anyone is looking to get Ultimate Unlimited it's going to cost $152.99 before discount and taxes.

it's +$30, but i also have their basic home phone, cable and 3 wireless phones on the same account

Well the answer is easy really. People will switch to them plans and by the end of the year they will remove it from everyone or boost rates through the roof.
