| Trip Down Memory Lane: Farscape I just finished watching all the episodes of Farsape to include the Peacekeeper Wars movie. I spent the last couple of months rewatching it all, usually an episode a night.
For anyone who has not seen it, I would highly recommend watching it. It brought back a lot of fun I had with the series from when it first came out. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed the character interactions and quirks. Stories usually either were part of a larger story arc or at least touched upon it. It was fun again to see this group of escaped prisoners adapt to each other and become a family (more or less) on board Moya. The show should really have been on longer than the 4 seasons it was on. But at least they did the movie to bring closure to it (I wish more cancelled shows did this). -- Cry "Havoc!" and let slip the dogs of war |

pb5kCan't TriforcePremium join:2005-11-16 Glendale, AZ | reply to Voxxjin Farscape was great overall. It had a certain strangeness to it I had to work past sometimes, and some episodes had slow pacing. But it was worth hanging on, because the reward was a fantastic program with awesome story arcs.
I liked the narrative structure of following Crichton, because he was just as clueless about the Farscape universe as I was.
I agree it deserved a full Season 5+, but I count my blessings that we at least got TPKW to tie off the biggest plot points.
And given trends in the industry toward crummy low-budget TV movie "specials" and reality TV crap, we will unfortunately never see anything as unique as Farscape again. It is a shame. -- "I'm just a human being trying to make it in a world that is very rapidly losing its understanding of being human." - John Trudell |

| reply to Voxxjin I saw a "behind the scenes" spot about Farscape. They were talking about how expensive Regal the puppet was, and how careful they had to be around. Then one day during a filming session Ben Browder just smacks regal. They said you could hear a pin drop on the set. Then from that day all, everyone got physical with Regal.
IMO, because Regal appeared not to be treated as a puppet, you tend to over look the fact that he was a puppet.
IMO, Farscape was a fun show, that wasn't afraid to make old school look "kool".
Now if they could only do a cross over comic of Farscape and Firefly. Now that would be interesting. -- Is a person a failure for doing nothing? Or is he a failure for trying, and not succeeding at what he is attempting to do? What did you fail at today?. |
