| Tracking an IP or Hostname Long story short my son had his ipod stolen and doesn't have the lost your ipod app. I found the IP of the person who stole it because they sent me an email from the stolen device and I tracked it through the Gmail activity log. So after doing a reverse lookup I came up with this but i'm not sure if the police or Bell can find the person with this info.

Police report filed I just hope they can use the IP and or Hostname to nail the person.

you can try this site but i dont think it will pin-point exactly where he is, might just show the POI where hes connected too. i hope you can get the ipod back. good luck. |

Whether Bell or the police are willing to do something about it is an open question. Certain 4letter organizations
south of the 49th think an IP address is proof positive for an ID, others may argue otherwise....
