Re: [Other] When is 24 months not 24 months?
I recently received a 2 year offer from Charter. Fine print has lowest discount first year, $30 increase 2nd year, and standard rates thereafter. Usually called a stepping-stone, to ease a customer into regular rates. (edit- this is for Triple Play with DVR service. I currently have $50 internet, going to $55.00.)
Same with my town home rent. Discounted rate first year to get a renter, small increase 2nd year, full rate 3rd year. Car loans or home loans sometimes have introductory rates. It certainly isn't limited to Charter. Read any forum here and you will probably find complaints about price increase, customer service, and technical support.
