New DSL weirdness

So I've got a new DSL connection on a dry loop from Ebox at a location where I've got a Bell DSL connection running on a wet loop. The Bell DSL fine works as well as can be expected in the backwoods-ignored-by-bell-countryside where I am.

Yes, that's right, the line is syncing at 64/64, even though the line has a higher attainable rate than the one running at full speed right now.

Now here's the thing - Tuesday is supposedly the activation date where a Bell tech is supposed to come out. I've never actually had a Bell tech show up anytime I've set up a dry loop, it's just worked. Are they keeping the sync that low until the activation date? I'm just curious, because this is the first time I've ever seen a DSL line sync as low as this.

Wait until activation.

Haha yeah. I've seen lower than normal sync rates prior to the activation date, but goddamn 64/64? Haha.

Well, at least it'll be really really stable!
