It may work when sitting horizontal, but my guess is the device is designed to sit vertically.
To get the maximum range, the wireless transmiter should be placed as high in the air as possible, in the center of the area that needs covered.
It is also possible that there is a lot of interference from your neighbors, which is reducing the effective range of the router. |
