Re: Have a nice weekend

In the state of Iowa, holidays like Columbus day, Martin Luther King day, President's day, Veteran's Day, etc were business as usual at the state and local level. I remember being in school on Martin Luther King day and other non-major holidays.

The only holidays we got off in school were Labor Day (school started in the middle to end of August), Thanksgiving, Christmas/New Year's, Good Friday, and Memorial Day then school was out the first week of June or the last week of May. 4th of July happened to be during summer break. I graduated high school on May 25th, 2002. I miss going to high school.

While it was business as usual on the non-major holidays on the state level in Iowa, the federal holidays still meant that the federal government was shut down like no mail delivery and federal offices were closed. Banks were either open or closed. I know around here the smaller banks are closed on every federal holiday but the big banks like TD Bank are open but transactions don't post until the next business day.

I've experienced ImOn (when they were McLeod USA), Mediacom, Comcast, and Time Warner. They are much better than broadcast TV.

I have not and will not cut the cord.
