"No one wants to see your pictures."

Most heard:

"That's quite a lens you have there."

Yep, I've seen that one a couple of times.

"Wow these Canon DSLR's are really good cameras. I've seen some good pictures. Guess I need to get one."

One of my favorites is not annoying, just funny.

If you will take the photos I will buy the film.

Another, I just have a digital camera, not anything nice like you have. Not sure what they think I have.

Mine is just the opposite of what one would consider annoying, but knowing the kind of photography I do and am capable of, it is. "Boy, that picture belongs in National Geographic" or "you could easily sell that one". It comes from someone who really knows little about photography but loves me. It annoys me to the point of distraction due to the fact that it's so patently false but is said with such disarming honesty, and while I answer them with a small thank you, I know it just will never be. What is most annoying by that is that I could have been really good at one time but remained mediocre due to lack of continued training among other things. Even good thoughts can be annoying!

On another note is the annoying critic who cannot ever say anything in a positive manner and comes off as an ass.

"Wow! That would have been a fantastic shot if only . . . and then they lurch off into a description of a completely different subject in a completely different setting

At our camera club we had an open forum night when we brought in prints and we broke into groups to discuss them. No one knew who did what prints. When our group leader was trying to keep us moving along, he grabbed one of mine and said "let's move along, with this one" and someone else said "Yes, lets get the bad ones out of the way first".

The one that I find most amusing is about my cameras,since they both have battery grips the common statement is, "those look like professional cameras" lol

This one happens every once in a while. "Wow!, how much megapixels is that?"
And if the same statement is coming from someone who is totally inept to computer terminology, they might say something like "How much megabytes is that camera?
