Buffalo Tech Support - Non-existant...really bad.
Well, my Buffalo Router model WZR-HP-G300NH2 has
been unable to retain settings. So it's useless and
I suspect the NVRAM.
I have tried to contact Buffalo Support any numbers
of ways: email, phone (never can get to speak with anybody),
twitter (promised help, but none received).
Many emails and requests via their web pages explaining
issues and I am trying to find out if I can get an RMA,
but nothing. Really bad.
So in desperation, I purchased an Asus router and that is fine.
I'd still like to fix this, but curious if others have had issues.
Anybody else have such problems? That just kills their
reputation if you ask me. Have been trying to reach
them for weeks.
i had a similar issue recently. there tech support is beyond unprofessional. There hold time is foolish, averages 30mins before you give up. I actually got through 1 time, only to be put on hold and then the call dropped. they never reply to emails, good luck getting through on the phone.
they just recently closed the rma, saying its exceeded the warranty. no crap I called the ticket in months ago and they waited till it went out warranty. bunch of jokers
on a technical note, i have the same ver router. did you experience the issues with dd-wrt and openwrt firmware?
Yes, I finally had a problem with my router using DD-WRT and savings settings. I like it alot, worked well for months.
I have given up on this router and Buffalo. Worked well for a while, but I am done with them and my experience echoes yours.
I even sent them a tweet via Tweeter, got an immediate response to ask about my RMA - sent it - heard nothing more.
Went and bought a new ASUS router which is great.
If you are going to be that indifferent to your customers, why
bother being in business?
You get what you pay for, which is this case was basically
a waste of time.
