 | [Home Phone] transfer a call to another caller in progress - pos I was wondering if Rogers Home Phone offers an ability to transfer calls to another caller while in progress? I know that I can easily set up "conference calling" (three way calling) with another caller ( *71 ) , but I was wondering that I want to "relinquish" a call to another caller.
To make my claim much easier to understand, here's the scenario:
1) Caller #1 calls Caller #2. 2) Caller #1 tells Caller #2 that he/she want to speak to Caller #3. 3) Caller #2 presses "Flash" button on the phone and dials *71 (star seven one). Caller #2 then dials Caller #3. 4) Caller #3 answers to Caller #2. Caller #2 then presses the "Flash" button to enable three-way calling between Caller #1, Caller #2 and Caller #3.
The last bit has somewhat worried. I want to make sure that Caller #1 speaks to Caller #3 only. If I were to let go of the conversation, then the three-way calling will end. Thus, Caller #1 calls Caller #3 in a separate session.
Anyways, I wanted to know if Rogers Home Phone offers a feature that allows me to "relinquish" a call to another "party and that way, those two parties can speak, without me handling the conversation.
Any suggestions? |

I've tried that but it doesn't work most of the time. I'm considering getting a "device" of some sort that works like the ones like businesses do - like transferring from one extension to another.
Any suggestions? |

 | Hi all,
The call transfer feature is the only option we have that allows you to transfer a call to an alternate local telephone number. Please note that this will only work if the initial call is an inbound call. Calls cannot be transferred to long distance numbers.
