after about a week, the TV started showing black horizontal lines sporadically, ranging in thickness from 1 to 3 pixels high, across the whole screen. they sometimes moved around, and sometimes disappeared, but always came back sooner or later.
i called the Sharp service department and asked for them to repair it. they said that the problem can not be corrected, so they were just going to replace the TV.
well, 10 minutes ago, i get a call from Sharp, and they tell me that they don't have the same model in stock. i got a little worried.............but the lady on the phone tells me that they're going to upgrade it to the LC-60LE847U!!! that's like over twice the cost of the one i bought, has 240HZ native, and is 3d!!
this is my 3rd Sharp, and i think i'll stick with them from here on out!!! |
