Re: Can I get 4G? Wanted to give an update: I received my antenna from Millenicom today and got it installed. I now have 3 bars of signal vs the 2 bars without the antenna. My RSRP averages -100 dBm now (was about -108). SINR has improved to 8 or 9. Several speed test runs are averaging : Ping 65-75, Dwnld 12-19 Mbps and upload 3 - 6 Mbps. Still not the strongest signal for 4G but very much improved and very satisfied. Appreciate all the help this forum offers. |

You can get better but that means a lot more investment and a lot of time aiming a directional antenna. |

anyone have experience with what tree leaves might do to a signal in the spring/summer? we're surrounded by them. see our speeds right now w/o leaves & w/o antenna. it doesn't look like today's snow is having a slowing effect. nice to have the antenna option as a fallback if things deteriorate. current readings via verizon field test...RSSI LTE rsrp=-104 dBm, sinr=13 dB. |

 | reply to GaryInTex Well one last item I just learned. In checking my speeds on Speedtest.net I noticed on my networx usage monitor that I was using a ton of MBs. My research shows that speedtest measures throughput by seeing how much data can be sent and received in 10 second burst. When you upgrade to 4G from 3G your data usage will greatly increase using speedtest a lot since so much more data can be sent now. Just thought I would advise others about that. |
