 | LOL Verizon can't throttle LTE on the 700mhz band until the FCC changes its mind and. |

Today, we're lucky to ever break 12-15mb/s. |

Today, we're lucky to ever break 12-15mb/s. Basically the same story in and around NJ. Best case scenario is roughly 30/20, and that's extremely rare and only in certain spots. A normal "good" d/l speed for me is maybe 11 to 15 Mbps...and at my house or office, when my phone doesn't drop back to 3G, I'm typically getting two or three bars of signal strength and anywhere between 5-15 down and 1-8 up.
I'm happy even with the low end of those 4G speeds, but I can't stand it when the phone reverts to 3G in areas that are defined by VZW as having solid LTE coverage. |

As far as speeds, I've tried at all hours of the day and with various test servers and in the past 12 months or so, I've rarely, if ever, broken 15mb/s. |

2nd test - 18/3.6mb/s (from Cincinnati, ~40 miles away) |

| reply to SanAntonioTx All though I use cellular exclusively I've never owned or used a Smartphone. So I ask seriously why are these very high speeds for downloads so really important or relevant for day to day use of the average typical user? -- The signal is usually drowned out by the noise. |

HallPremium,MVM join:2000-04-28 Dayton, OH kudos:2 | Yes and no. I can tell a difference when I'm browsing websites when on 3G vs 4G/LTE. I rarely download large files where it would be noticeable. For things like email, those download silently in the background, so you don't have to "wait". |
|
 | reply to SanAntonioTx In California I am lucky to get 1mbs dowload and 0.10mps upload speeds with Verizon 4G LTE. I still have to drive to the local library to download large files. |
|
 | Wired will always have the reliability and top speed factor over any wireless medium in the end. |

said by admin123 :Not for us on unlimited lol. How can you be on unlimited AND 4g? I thought unlimited was grandfathered to the phones and 4g wasn't around when it changed was it? -- People who don't get good service on average tell 10 others while people who do get good service on average tell 1. |

HallPremium,MVM join:2000-04-28 Dayton, OH kudos:2 | Verizon does NOT have data plans that are tied to speed specifications. Unlimited data is unlimited data - makes no difference what (smart)phone you have. |
