$10 will give you 50/25 according to this. So you'd be losing upload speed.

$10 will give you 50/25 according to this. So you'd be losing upload speed. True, they renegged on symmetric bandwidth, then jacked rates up.. unless your grandfathered in on one of those plans. BTW, if you want to see what REAL fiber can do... Verizon is not doing right by the consumer.. Google is:

Baltimore, MD | Google is using an active ethernet setup for their Fiber offering while Verizon uses PON. For Verizon, it would cost even more than the $23 billion or so they have spent to use an active ethernet network over PON. For Google, they can afford to use AE since they are dealing with a single city. |

I have the 35/35 also. I see no reason to go to 50/25. Last time I checked, I could not get the 70/35 speed - must be because of my GPON or such. |

With fluff the upload is close to 39 mbps that is what I had when I was on 50/25 , upgraded to 75/35 and didn't see upload difference. |

Agreed. If they are trying to eliminate the 35/35 tier or whatever, which I have, 50/25 should basically be the same price. It is definately not worth an extra $10/mo, especially since they are giving the same deal to 25/10 customers. I was thinking about calling them to point this out. |
