So to make sure I understand you, the highest speed package you can get, is 1mbit down, and it's $42.95 a month?

Unreal.

Clearly it's because of the 1% who are using more than 250 GB a month.

@suddenlink.net

Pretty sure its because Spiro is a town 2 miles big with 2k residents in the middle of nowhere oklahoma. Would you spends millions to upgrade an area this small? Money you will never recoup in charges?

·AT&T DSL Service

maybe not, but charging $42.95 for 1 Mbps isn't the way to go either. Their tv cable also is poor..We had other Cable service a few years back but SUddenlink promised the stars if they were the only one allowed in town..Instead of the stars we got the meteor. Like I said they should be ran out of town.imo

Seems like they should just cut their losses and leave.

The little towns are actually insanely profitable, providing they don't repair or expand the plant. I lived in such a town for about 3 years. The whole town was 1 node and we shared 3 or 4 T1 lines for bandwidth... between almost 600 modems. Right before I left, they added another 4 T1 lines if i recall correctly. They are usually also staffed by techs from the next town over, or 1-2 workers so overhead on the town is rather low.
