well is not as tough as some might believe check this out

saw that, notice i mentioned a rubber buffer on the screen, since most of the damage was because of edge impact.

watch?v=J4zQKeAEqsQ

different angles

which is easy to fix(and what they did with the phone5)

kind annoying watching other "tests" where situations are blatantly different(anyone seen squaretrades beer-bottle test ?)

still the screen on the sG3 is not as thought as they make it out to be. Also theres tons of test video proving that, not just this video. Nothing bias when the same bottles hit the iphone and nothing happen is not like the emptied it out so it won't damage the iphone 5. heres another one and it comes from Android authority and even then proved the sg3 does crap easily:

they might not have been purposeful bias, but drop angles being that far apart on 3 tests is a bit much.

By who? an Android loving site that proved that the SG3 glass sucks. Look thats Samsung fault for not using real Gorilla glass and not the cheap version.

they did use gorilla glass, just didn't implement it correctly(should have been slightly thicker, and a rubber gasket added to the outside edge to absorb impact). the iphone5's glass is .90mm thick, can't find numbers on the SG3 glass but it definitely feels thinner(more flex under pressure).

i was talking about the beer bottle drop video, there's 3 tests where the phones are under different stresses, first is the drop where the Iphone was a straight vertical drop onto it's bottom, and the SG3 was dropped at an angle. second was the soup cans neither were dropped in the same way and didn't really impact either phone solidly, and the beer bottle test, SG3 bottle was dropped corner down on the screen, they might not have intended bias in that one, but it sure as hell looked like it.

Still even if we eliminate that bottle drop there still other test that show how badly Samsung use the glass on the phone. Even to the point that once theres a hairline crack across the device it stop receiving input. Had they done the SG3 with the same standards than HTC or even LG their phones would look and work better.
