I'll be damned. I'm not the oldest after all. 1963 for me. Here's to the old guys!

The US military wants people to use console controllers for thier swarms of killer robots.

Whoa there fella. 50 and the Mustang are still about a week or so away. There are perks to getting older. Trade off is parts start wearing out. lol

The Vette and Porsche are both fine vehicles, but not in my budget. The sticker price is just the entry fee into that game. I've got a buddy with a supercharged Corvette Grand Sport (actually his wife's car). Fine car, but damn, everything associated with that car is expensive.

To answer AVD, you get it when you can afford it. Life is too short.

As a soon to be 50 year old, I'm looking at the »www.nissanusa.com/buildy ··· 2014/GTR

The vette is pretty nice but the gtr blows its doors.

I would never be sad about not getting a porsche

and I'm too practical to get a vette

dream car is s6 audi

my buddy was on a Speed Vision reality show about 6 years ago, where it was a driver competition

drifting... drag racing... street course driving

the final event was a street course, with Porsche vs. Vette. vs. Nissan Z vs. mustang vs. something else

i know all in all its not apples vs. apples... the ONLY car to finish the street course race was teh vette... everything else broke down before the end of the race

he drove the nissan Z, it was the first car to break down during the race

(he races his mini in limerock or something)

it was like a points system competition... the last event, the road course the points leader go to choose his car first.. he picked the porsche, the #2 guys picked vette and won

You're comparing a car with a base price cost that's even higher then a Z06. lol

At that price you're looking at a comparison more along the lines of a ZR1. That GTR aint "blowing it's doors", especially around a track.

Won't matter. no one on this forum is capable of driving either car near it's limits.

I knew someone would bite. I'm quite certain some of us could push either to it's limits... in a straight line... lol

Seriously though, standing mile competitions are quite popular now, especially in Texas. Plenty of room out here I guess. Google or Youtube "Texas Mile" and you'll see some amazing vehicles. I grew up an old street rodder during the heyday of the muscle car era and have spent many a day at the drag strip. Hence my desire to own one of the last fixed rear axle modern pony cars. That's also why I can't corner or brake worth a crap. lol

I used to live down the street from an exotic car rental place.

I was friendly with the owner who worked out at my gym.

he said the car that got wrecked the most was the dodge viper, and that he was on like his 3rd at the place.

he said people don't understand how to drive it, and its just too powerful

another dude at my gym owned a dodge viper, some rich pharmaceutical dude, ugly as fuck.. but his car was beautiful, I have never seen a car with tires that wide before, insane

You know why the Viper gets wrecked so much? Because stupid people use the wheel to drive. Real pros use a controller.

I didn't play shooters on the console until Halo, and a self proclaimed pro didn't stand up to me getting used to the controller. We even setup a two tv system link, and I owned them every way using the same controller since they accused me of cheating by seeing their screen on splitscreen. They were nothing besides a lame camper anyway. I took my years of playing pc games, and translated it to the controller, however I still missed my keyboard and mouse. I had the sensitivity turned up very high for aiming like it is for my pc mouse.
