Charlotte, NC area inconsistent pings?

Anyone else seeing weird pings over the last day or 2?

In case anyone cares, I was going to upgrade my account to ultimate anyways so I ended up calling TWC today.

Got home from work, found out that my modem had rebooted an hour earlier. Tested speed, no change and pings stunk. Rebooted on my own and then the modem would'nt accept the new config and becomes disabeled in TWC's system. 1 hour 45 mins later...they get my modem to accept the code and I got 50/5. Just as I was about to ask about the ping issue, everything is normal again.

They wouldnt route you any different based on the package you got right? found it a little odd. Stupid me didnt keep an old trace route either.
