Flash objects

Just a quick one, does anyone know of a 4 letter folder in %ProgramData% that contains a single flash file?

Virus Total came back clean, it was installed last month but was modified in July last year.

Okay, I might have found a source.

All I did that day was uninstall TomTom and Samsung Kies (what a crap product). This may have been left overs. I'd wager the second, it was a mess of a product and will not be on any computer again.

Although that modified date doesn't match the time frame those programs (less than a month installed) were on the computer, as they were only a one off job.

Doesn't look familiar. Did a search for that GUID too but turned up nothing.

After your comment, I did a reg search and it turned up in an imesh entry under "player".

For now I think I'll uninstall imesh, some of the entries didn't look very trusting. Pornhub was mentioned and it certainly isn't a site I have visited.

You got that right!

I only have it installed so I can update my Tablet's firmware and backup data/settings on it. Plus that POS insists on re-installing background processes etc everytime it runs.

It seems relative to the limited user, as a search via the admin account does not find the GUID. I have exported the whole imesh key but will uninstall it. Was an easy program to work with all the same.

I have found this link towards the bottom has a very similar registry key, but also has the exact player urls for PrivateVideoPlayerUrl and PlayerUrl.

The registry key is for HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\iMesh\Player off the link, whereas the one here was for HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-2099451275-1688119950-3788578177-1002
