Re: Bungie: 'Nobody Plays Shooters With A Mouse And Keyboard'

I played the first Halo years ago. That's the only one I've ever played.

I thought it was a mediocre pile of crap to be honest. I never did fully understand all the hype behind it.

It looked bad, and was buggy as all hell.

So you never played Halo 2, 3, or 4?

I see reading comprehension isn't one of your finer skills?

Why would I play Halo 2,3 or 4, if the first one was a pile of crap? LOL

I have almost the exact same opinion. When they ported it to the PC, I gave it a try. My first thought was that the guns were weak ass peashooters. I remember fighting the first boss and emptying all my ammunition into him, running out of the area and finding some guns on the ground, running back and emptying those guns into him, running out to find some more guns, etc. until the dude finally dropped. Then I quit and uninstalled that mess.

So our resident WoW troll is also a Halo apologist? Why am I not surprised?

Kind of off-topic to PC Games.

I've TRIED to play Halo, but not finished any of them.

Didn't surprise me either. Looks like he came out for his daily feeding though.

I've never followed the Halo franchise at all. Did they even port the 2nd, 3rd, etc. to PC at all?

That's because you're an old fart stuck in the 80s with your stupid keyboard and mouse. Once you embrace the joystick, the light will shine and the greatness of Halo will finally be clear to you. But like I said, for that to happen, you must first rid yourself of the enemy and wash away your sins.

I never knew it, but apparently, for "Vista only." Nothing past #2 though.

I had a bro who had it on the pc, he said the xbox and pc had the same leader board, and you had to go down >180 slots to even find a console player on it. I laughed when I saw it.

No kidding, if you would have told me that I'd feel old on videogame forum a couple of years ago I'd have laughed my ass off.

I'll be damned. I'm not the oldest after all. 1963 for me. Here's to the old guys!

I didn't play shooters on the console until Halo, and a self proclaimed pro didn't stand up to me getting used to the controller. We even setup a two tv system link, and I owned them every way using the same controller since they accused me of cheating by seeing their screen on splitscreen. They were nothing besides a lame camper anyway. I took my years of playing pc games, and translated it to the controller, however I still missed my keyboard and mouse. I had the sensitivity turned up very high for aiming like it is for my pc mouse.
