how to browse a disconnected drive?

I have a number of external hard drives

while I have them indexed ... and can search contents ...

I would very much to Explorer like browse them once in a while ...

there must be some ways that let users achieve this functionality

can anyone recommend anything ...

This tool is the best free program I am aware of to view any file tree structure.
Whether it helps your needs or not I cannot be 100% on.

What do you mean by "disconnected"? If it's not connected to your pc, no software can access it.

it is a loose HD I believe you could buy one of those external "HD's where a HD is plugged in and then use the programs mentioned above.
