It'll be real interesting to see your project as it progresses. I can't even change a car light or a dryer vent without breaking it. -- A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have. -MLK
What's all this now? Is this like an FPS? I remember playing MW2 and needing a joystick. Is that what this is like? -- "This thread has more subs than the actual game." Phantasee, in reference to SWTOR
It's the next Mechwarrior game. I don't think a joystick is needed, but could help if you are trying to immerse yourself like Gevurah. -- Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.
Not interested in immersion. Are you guys playing this on a regular basis? PoE is pretty hit or miss for people being online from here and WoW is B O R I N G. -- "This thread has more subs than the actual game." Phantasee, in reference to SWTOR
Or do without, I'd imagine it'd get really hot in a mech cockpit, considering you're sitting on top of a reactor. -- Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.
It's simple enough to drop into a game with a trial mech and get to work. Once you accumulate currency (by playing games), you can unlock your own mech. I'd recommend sitting on that currency until you know what you want.
It's difficult to master, though, as you start to get into deep loadouts, multiple mechs, talents, strategy, etc.
It's taken me a while to really nail down one of the cheesiest setups in the game. I play the most dangerous and most vulnerable of all mechs. I can lay out the most damage at the furthest range with homing missiles, I'm dead if someone gets in close range.
On an average game, if you can put out 250 damage, you've contributed to your game pretty well. If you've put out 400-500, you've done fantastic.
I've had a handful of 1200+ damage games now on my missile boat. On the flipside, I've had several 0-damage games when I can't get a safe spot to launch room and get flanked by an ECM light mech who spends the next 60 seconds taking me down. -- A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have. -MLK
