Daemon posted : Ah, another post from Mike , where he skewers Apple for something. Sometimes I wonder why you haven't gone to PC. :)

Anyway, Keynote remote is obviously just a gee-whiz app that isn't suitable for real professional use. Your phone is large and swiping at it/staring at it during a presentation is going to be a little WTF.

The solution is a real presenters remote.

(P.S. Bluetooth uses the same frequency bands that 2.4GHz WiFi does. In a real terrible environment loaded with interference to the max, it may be no better than wifi)
--
-Ryan
I use Linux, OS X, iOS and Windows.
Mike posted : Let's say I'm at a conference in a horrible 802.11x environment...

I can't use Keynote Remote to my MacBook Air via bluetooth.. right?

Are there any hacks for that to work? If not, that is moronic.

Apple is already an asshole when it comes to compatibility between Keynote on OS X and iOS so I'd rather not use my iPad because it will butcher the presentation.

I still find it hard to believe this is supposed to be better than the alternative.
--
"If something about the human body disgusts you, complain to the manufacturer" - Lenny Bruce
What this country needs is a good five dollar plasma weapon.
