Re: CRTC DecisionYes, noticed that and replied a couple posts up.
As for the "no one uses 300GB", that's sort of my point I guess - rather than over-promise and have to change prices when people do actually use it on lower tiers, we're trying to get packages that are stable and sustainable. Very few people will be impacted with our changes, for those that need more there are higher end packages. |

said by geokilla:And realistically, no one is gonna transfer 300GB during peak hours. If they do... Well please leave the house more lol. Realistically, very very easy to do. Maybe not for a single person living by themselves, but consider a family of four or room mates who live together. One could be watching NHL Gamecenter Live, another MLBTV (once baseball season starts) another Netflix (SuperHD), and you can see where it would be very easy to hit 10 GB per day during on-peak. |

They are also probably better suited for 45Mbps instead of 25Mbps. |

Whats the cost to move up a package? I'm actually mulling this over. |

Thanks That would be nice to see ... a little added value that may not impact the bottom line much for Start. |

Re: CRTC DecisionAre the start.ca UBB quotas ("usage") just for downstream usage, or for downstream plus upstream?
Thanks. |

Will existing people be grandfathered on whatever they have currently? Assuming not much is going to change in Red land, but mainly the unlimited overnight.. |

Too bad dry loop fees add some cost on top of those prices. |

Oh I heard about the decision, however since I'm not in a Cogeco area and I can get the 50/10 tier on DSL I've got enough options between Rogers and Bell that I'll be good with all of the new plans because I have options. |
|

said by JC_:... since I'm not in a Cogeco area ... So, in other words, the Cogeco plans are so unbelievably awful that the intensely disgusting rates in the Bell and Rogers part of the ruling look good by comparison. I intended my previous post to be humourous, but now, as someone stuck in Cogeco land with Bell service speed topping out at around 5Mbps, this makes me really sad. |
