 | Current Motorola modem for Chicago area? Current using a 2Wire 3600HGV on my U-verse internet service. Brought a Motorola 2210-02-1ATT Style MIPDSLA black modem for backup.
When I plug in the black modem, I get a DSL sync failure on the Motorola modem webpage. Modem does say it has found a DSL signal. I'm back on the 3600HGV for access.
So, does anyone know if MIPSDLA is the correct style modem for the Chicago area?
Thanks for the answers. |

| You bought a modem for a different type of uverse. That modem(the 2210) is for uverse IP_DSL which usually the signal comes from a central office
The 2wire 3600 is for uverse VDSL, that signal is usually in a cabinet sitting out in the field in your neighborhood somewhere.
They are 2 totally different types of signal and you cant interchange them
Hope that helps

 | Thanks for the answer.
So, I'm guessing that there is no Motorola VDSL modem which works in the Chicago area? Guess I'm stuck with the 2Wire 3600HGV?
Thanks for the reply. |
