[Internet] [Internet] Sarnia North End Sympatico Slow I am in touch with Bell direct support on slow speed in Sarnia, no strong answers yet after 2 weeks "looking into it".
I see lots of chatter in the past on this problem. Has anyone seen a solution or even a description of what is wrong?
I still have the grandfathered unlimited plan, but things are so slow it is almost unworkable, what has worked for others.

Use the smoke-ping tool and run it continuously for a few days.
See if there's a pattern to the poor performance (time of day, etc).
Post the link to the results for us to see. Your modem-router must be "ping-able" - so you must enable icmp or port 113.
Apparently I cannot enable port 113 on this modem 2wire?
This is what I was told by the phone rep from Bell.
When I try to /smokeping it responds not pinable.
