I know it's healthy, but don't think juicing is for me. Thanks for the information, though.

I'm sorry. There hasn't been much worth sharing and I've been sleeping/resting a lot.

The last chemotherapy was May 29 and the last radiation treatment was May 31. Both doctors feel I tolerated them very well and hope I'll perk up soon. They're also saying that as far ahead as 2 months, I could develop new side effects such as sudden decrease in ability to breathe. So many possibilities! Have seen one doctor or the other weekly.

It will be years before I can let myself start to think maybe no bad cells got away and hid someplace to pop up later but am trying to be optimistic. Won't ever be as optimistic as I was before this recurrence but can't live in constant fear either.

Thank you all so much for your concern.

Edit: Yesterday, the radiation oncologist mentioned doing a PET scan in about three months (September-ish?). That would be the next point in progress to wait for now unless blood tests give reason to look sooner.

Breathing can be important. There are times when I have a decrease in my ability to breathe due to COPD and it can be pretty scary. I find that if I don't panic and I use a technique called "pursed lip breathing" that I become somewhat stable. Check with your doctor and see if the technique could help if breathing becomes a problem for you. It is also something that you can practice before you actually need it.

Thanks. It's good to know, especially since such a point was made about sudden onset.

They've had me on Advair and Ventolin. I can still climb stairs to our 3rd floor (no elevator) apartment; that ain't bad.

Getting up to the 3rd floor is great, I don't think that I could do it. Quite often I have to use pursed lip breathing to make it up 13 steps to the 2nd floor here. It does make it easier for me.

I can't complain at all about the function left after the lower right lobe was removed in 2010. Was very lucky.

I wouldn't get far at all on a hill outdoors.

Thanks for the update. Just know the team mama bear will always get a worry on if my friends don't pop in now and then to at least say a couple of words like, "I'm ok." Or something.

That was actually a pretty newsy update. I'll be very quiet, at least for awhile, before waking you. You do need that rest.

I've been posting in the daily milestone threads and a few others so teammates know I'm still paying attention. Medical details aren't interesting enough to update often and I hope it stays that way.

I had PET and CT scans from head to pelvis today. Got the best possible news: no sign of cancer.

That's GREAT news! Glad to hear it!

Although why they had to scan your PET and the state of Connecticut I don't know!
