Re: Callcentric in Canada using a softphone: Is it OK? said by dsl2u:I was hoping to use Callcentric to take care of my incoming phone needs and was wondering how people find it in general in terms of uptime and audio quality.
I've used CallCentric for my home and my business for several years.
The overall quality is excellent, likewise audio quality.
I hear occasional echo, usually resolved when I stop speaking so loudly.
The only significant downtime issues in these last several years have been the 1-2 punch last fall when they were subject to a world-class DDoS attack followed by the flooding of lower Manhattan. It's safe to say that after that they now are in a position of strong DDoS defense, and that they continue to enhance and implement backup strategies.
Every day, I rely on my wife, and I rely on CallCentric.
Outside of that, I have found fewer and fewer things in this world that I can rely on. |
