1 edit | Teksavvy West - changes coming? I just popped in here to check up on how things are going, and I see the CRTC has been busy giving it to all good people again.
I may want to switch to Teksavvy now that Telus has proven themselves to be contract-breaking cap reducing sons of B's.
But before I go ordering a modem at my cost and paying a hefty install fee, I'd like to know what services are going to be available and for how much.
So what's the scoop for teksavvy west - is there going to be pricing changes? Is there going to be new service tiers? Cable and/or DSL?
Thanks |

said by TSI Marc:It's too early to tell exactly what will happen. Telus rates went down though. that should help us improve those offerings. said by TSI Marc:well. they did go down but very little.. we still plan on continuing with our plans but the rates are likely to go up a fair amount from where they are right now. There's just no way around that. how much, I dont know yet but that's where the biggest hit will be. After that it's either Shaw of Videotron.. then Rogers and Bell and Telus are really the only positive stories. but, those were so bad from before that I dont know that rates will go down that much. I'd rather improve on initial fees and whatnot.. The CRTC is still deciding what the wholesale pricing for Telus' 50 Mbps offering should be. I'm not sure what's going on with cable but I think Teksavvy has to move over to an aggregated link in order to take advantage of faster speeds. |

 | reply to bluenote73 I am also curious if there are any sort of timelines when we could expect the 50Mbps tier to drop. |
