make sure your router isn't using the .100 range.
FiOS Cable Boxes use .100, .101, etc to get their guide data/vod/widgets and communication across the router network
I was on another subnet so that's a moot point.
what I did so far that SEEMS to be working is, I reversed everything and made my router primary. the verizon router is on my dmz, I plugged the WAN port of the verizon router into one of the switch ports. The guide is working, the logs on the verizon router seem to indicate data is flowing. wireless is disabled, dhcp is disabled, and I enabled remote admin so I can access it over the WAN port, that is the subnet where my router is, rather than having to connect to it with a cable (since wireless is disabled).
is there anything that won't work with this setup? it was installed today so I don't know what to look out for. frankly I have not even figured out all the channels I can watch!
