join:2000-11-23 | [WIN7] Email I got the new computer today. Win7X64. Setup has gone well except for email. Cannot find Outlook, found something called windows live but after reading the terms I don't think that is something I want to use.
I have been using XP SP3 and Vista SP2. I retired my 98SE machine.
So, how do I setup an email program?

You can try outlook.com, but if you want the actual Outlook program you have to buy a copy of Microsoft Office.
There are free alternatives available, like Thunderbird or SeaMonkey from Mozilla. |

The app Outlook Express was dropped from Win7. You either have to buy the full featured personal information manager MS Office Outlook app as izy stated or use the web mail app. |

Just install the Windows Live mail application which is Outlook Express with a different name, that's all.
If you're talking about the full featured Outlook, it only comes with Microsoft Office (with the exception of the Home & Student version) or purchased separately, as was mentioned above. |
