The head of the FCC works for the carriers and cable companies, not for the people. Why would anyone think otherwise? The FCC head doesn't get paid enough and needs the side money.

Appointing a former cable lobbyist just shows that the government is there for business, not for people. Why even have an FCC when the head works for the very people they are supposedly regulating? That's like hiring a lion to guard sheep.

The FCC was not formed to help the public. It was formed to help the private businesses- Clear Channel- cut down on pirate radio. There is a whole movie/video about it.
