[VOD] On Demand error (ERR-0xffff)

When trying to start a On Demand program I am seeing the following: Request failed. Please try again. If problem continues please call 1-800-XFINITY and reference ERR-0xffff.

I am in State College, Pa and did not have problems yesterday using on demand. Is anyone else in the area having the same issue or is anyone familiar with what this error is?

Did you pay your bill?

Yes I did pay my bill. I called the number and after wading through the voice menus, I got to the message that home customers may be experiencing video on demand problems and that Xfinity engineers are working on resolving the issue. Too bad that was not the first message when I called. The first message I received was about ordering a UFC pay per view event (not that I was interested in that).

Xfinity must have fixed the issue, Video On Demand is working for me now.
