| Audio delay I have a uverse STB connected to my Onkyo 709 AVR with an HDMI cable. Whenever I pause, ff or rewind, there is a 1-2 second delay before the audio comes on. It also happens on a TV connected direct to an STB via HDMI as well. Any ideas on why this might happen? Is this "normal"? |

 | I have the same issue with my Onkyo HT-RC360 receiver and the Motorola VIP 2250 DVR. Any resolution yet? |

| reply to gadawg I can't use the optical audio output on my primary Motorola DVR unit for surround, as the delay is at least a half second. Even if I mute the TV you can tell that the audio is not in synch with what is on the screen, especially when someone is talking and you can see their mouth moving.
I wonder if your audio delay is due to an audio resynch that has to occur on the decoder. -- Scott, CCIE #14618 Routing & Switching »rolande.wordpress.com/ |
