New build question...

Board

PCI Slots
Components in question are

Asus Sabertooth Z77
OCZ Revo Drive 3 X2 240GB
ATI HD 7700

Is there a proper way to install PCI cards in the motherboard?

Currently, I have OCZ in Slot 2, and ATI 7700 in Slot 4

I tried to Google it, but I can't find answers...

Reason for me asking is that I have lower score in WEI with Revo Drive, than what I had with Vertex, which doesn't make sense

Thanks

The RevoDrive is a PCIe 2.0 device, so putting it in a 3.0 slot won't benefit it. Here's what I would do:

1. Put the RevoDrive in slot 6 and your video card in slot 2.
2. Run other benchmarks on it (ex. ATTO, CrystalDiskMark, AS-SSD). WEI is rather vague and doesn't tell much if there is indeed an issue with throughput or IOPS.

Did you do a fresh OS install with the RevoDrive, or did you image it from your Vertex?

1. I will try that
2. Tried pretty much all the benchmarks, and they all show lower scores then SATA Vertex...

Fresh W7 install, just needed to do a F6, and load the drivers

What this guy said.
