USA is bankrupt in MANY ways..... ..... ethically, morally, and culturally.
The ONLY thing that matters worth a DAMN in this country is MONEY ....at the expensive of anything and EVERYTHING else.
I'm never against profit, but it has come to the point where greedy shareholders and executive management want the last freaking penny when they have amazing wealth, and want for nothing in their lives financially. We The People's government is not representing "The People" but well financed lobbyists that do the bidding of equally rich corporations.
Of course the country also gives tens of hundreds of BILLIONS away to countries like Israel, which is as much an enemy of the US as North Korea.
That incident where a US CEO blasted the french work ethic was classic because he FAILED to mention that the French workers are the MOST productive in the Western World, even more so than US workers. As a reply the Union chief commented that the US CEO could learn a few things as his company was puny and MUCH less profitable as compared to Michelin's operation.
I want to qualify my post by stating that I am a fifth generation US citizen, born and raised here.
No Need to Accredit Your Anti-Jingoism, Friend The problem with the 20th century Russian Empire was fascist militarization. The leadership thought weapons were more nutritious than food, they sent poets to hard labor camps for making jokes, and they attempted to assassinate their own President.
Here, we have an emphasis on weapons. It's getting to the point weapons and warriors are all we have. When cuts are made, what goes first? Farming and education. Anything but weapons and endless war, subsidies for oil companies, subsidies for death corporations, pay raises for congress, and less freedom. Well, all we need to do is wait for the trickle down while corporations boast record profits, cut jobs, erase benefits, and reduce product and service quality. All we need to do is wait for the diarrhea to trickle down into our mouths and we'll call it provisions, comrade.
I was born and raised here too, friend.
And our country is f***ed up.
