I've stated the reasons above for why and how to remedy it. Most people prefer to get their media through legal means if it's cost effective and gives them a way to watch it on whatever device they want. When content providers tighten their iron grip and remove options, people will end up resorting to piracy vs going without. |

I'm not trying to fix a problem with copyright law, but stating that using a VPN is not the only way to get by on 6 strixes. Also, it's legal to DL copyright music in Canada, not the US. It is harder to catch the DL which is why they go after the uploaders.
edit: This obviously ignores fair-use cases. |

What about the use of usenet servers (newsgroups) and a SSL connection(s) with those servers? Is that "safe" from being detected? I know a few people who use this type of configuration and often wondered this! |
