Re: Anybody else getting this on radio reference today/tonight?

I still haven't gone back to the site. I will wait a few days and then maybe venture back. Being it's not like a huge company running the service, and ample amount of smart geeks, I feel it's going to take some time before they/he gets to the bottom of it.

Until then, I just don't trust it at all. And have more faith in Google and their findings.

Lindsay is saying google is triggering false notices BUT I am getting prompts to install Java so makes me think some banner ad malware going on.

That sounds like something he would say. And I take it Google told him that. (lol)

Personally I wouldn't listen to a word he says.
I feel confident in "assuming" he doesn't know much when it comes to security on the interweb.

(note: I'm not trying to bash him down...I will listen to the experts in this matter (Google) before I listen to him).

So if I am reading everything right, from different sources, he is telling everyone that's its safe to go back, yet he is still trying to get Google to do another review. Guess he feels all is safe.
Hope he is right.

As of now 11:33 2-26-2013 it is still being listed as blacklisted per Stop Badware Clearinghouse

Thank you for that info! Someone in this thread said they got the
"Trojan.Agent.TIB" on their machine. Maybe that was already on there. (?)

Nah, I run MBAM every night when I go to bed. Also, Lindsay confirmed there was some malicious Javascript in the code: »forums.radioreference.com/system···t1923624

Sounds like me. I run scans on my system almost nightly before I call it a night.

I will check the forums and link you provided later. I am still not convinced it has been fully cleared. And the site is still blacklisted.

I'm sure the wheels move slow in stuff like this (like our govt.) but until it has been cleared from a reputable clearinghouse on malware, I'm staying away. Even though I would like to think I have plenty of protection on my machine.

Hey everyone

The malicious code, and the block have been removed, but it may take some time for this to propagate across the net.

I'm not sure what you read, but I don't see anything that has been deleted on this topic...

Re: Anybody else getting this on radio reference today/tonight?

Wow...

Two warnings for the same post in this thread.

No wonder people are leaving this place like rats fleeing a sinking ship...

People are leaving because a "warning" is generated as a courtesy to let them know their post was removed because it contained a quote of another deleted post? Anyone who is aggrieved by something that mild really does need a new place to hang.

I have had plenty of posts deleted without the system generating warnings...

Yet, I received two separate warnings because I quoted something that I didn't know would have been deleted in the future.

Warnings are not a courtesy... Warnings a "discipline" from the site.

Warnings that contain text explaining why a post was removed are simply a courtesy. They're not required, they are an effort by moderators here to let a member know why a particular post has been removed. They are labelled "warnings" because of the way the system has been set up. They are absolutely not "discipline" unless so worded. That you consider them that way is your opinion, not shared by the site's administration.
