want to switch back to teksavvy dsl and home phone...

hey guys.

i had teksavvy dsl for over a year and home phone service for a really short period of time last year.

i regretted switching back to bell even though they gave me some special promotional offers which are "ok" but the billing errors are driving me nuts every month. i'm tired of calling them every month to correct something.

currently i'm on bell fibe 15/10 service and traditional home phone line. i want to go back to teksavvy dsl 6 and traditional home phone service again.

my questions are:

does a technician need to come out and to rewiring at the node to switch back to dsl 6 service?

can teksavvy still port over my phone number to their home phone service?

Welcome back to the DARK SIDE!

The only work that should be needed is to change the line card at the CO. You shouldn't need to be home.

Cheers,

Andre

hi Andre

thanks for the quick reply....

the bell technician said he had to rewire my line at the node to get the 15/10 service.

i want to downgrade to adsl2 speeds so shouldn't there be some rewiring again? or is it backwards compatible?

and is teksavvy still porting phone numbers over for traditional phone service in the newmarket area?

thanks again!!

I don't see why they would re-wire stuff at the node but heh... I could be wrong...

Either way, you shouldn't need to be home for that.
