1 edit | [Speed] Astoria, NY - SLOW Slow speed during the day, half the advertised rates or even less, sometimes speed improves after midnight, sometimes it doesn't. Paying for 75/10 speeds, but getting more like 25/2. Why bother paying more and not receiving the advertised paid for rates?

| Astoria speeds are horrible right now at 8pm EST. I don't know what's going on but I'm getting 2mbps and paying for 25. |

| Just tested 9:40pm Wednesday with RCN's speed test, nowhere near 75, more like 40.
Testedusing Speedtest.net below, much better results, maybe RCN's speed testing is broken?

This is a definite peak time issue. Morning speedtests get the full 25/2 but it slows to 1~2 mbps during 7pm-12am. Does any RCN techs know what's going on here? I heard something about equipment being replaced but it takes time.. |
